Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager in the Charlotte, NC area to oversee and manage various underground utility construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with a keen ability to read blueprints, manage contracts, and utilize project management software. This role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as ProCore.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Prepare construction estimates and budgets based on project requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between all parties involved in the project, including clients and team members.
  • Ensure all contracts are adhered to and manage any changes or disputes that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Manage procurement processes, including tracking materials and equipment needs using Construction management software.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project status, risks, and issues for senior management.

Skills

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Proven experience in construction project management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction site operations and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
  • Familiarity with construction estimating practices and tools.
  • Experience with project management software is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
  • A degree in Construction Management or a related field is an asset but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
