Senior Data/AI/ML Software Engineer
CBT Creative Consultants, Ltd
Full-time
San Francisco, CA
Job description
About Us
We are a fast-moving startup building products at the intersection of AI, data, and intelligence. Our team thrives on speed, experimentation, and turning ideas into working software quickly. We believe in giving talented people ownership, trust, and the opportunity to shape the future of our company from the ground up.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who loves coding, thrives in a startup environment, and has a deep interest in AI. You will work across the stack, from front-end interfaces to back-end systems, and play a pivotal role in bringing AI-powered products to life.
This is not a narrow role—you’ll also step in as our go-to IT support and infrastructure problem solver when needed. If you are excited about wearing multiple hats, solving problems in real time, and building impactful technology with speed and creativity, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build scalable front-end and back-end systems
- Integrate AI/ML APIs, libraries, and pipelines into real products
- Work directly with founders to rapidly prototype and deploy features
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
- Provide technical support across systems and networks when needed
- Take ownership of projects from concept to deployment
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong skills in full-stack development (React, Next.js, or Vue on the front end; Python/FastAPI, Node.js, or Go on the back end)
- Experience with AI/ML libraries and APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Solid knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent)
- Comfortable with DevOps and IT troubleshooting (Docker, Kubernetes, cloud services, networking basics)
- Startup mindset—resourceful, adaptable, and eager to build fast
- Passion for AI, coding, and solving hard problems
Bonus Points
- Prior experience at a startup or small, fast-moving team
- Knowledge of security, data pipelines, or geospatial systems
- Strong interest in applied AI beyond experimentation
Why Join Us?
- Be an early team member with real ownership and impact
- Work on cutting-edge AI-driven applications
- Shape the tech culture and processes of a growing company
- Flexible, high-trust work environment
