The IT Director is an executive leader responsible for shaping and executing an enterprise-wide technology vision. This role provides strategic oversight of IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and dealership platforms — ensuring technology accelerates growth, drives operational excellence, supports compliance, and delivers an exceptional customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute the enterprise IT strategy aligned with corporate objectives and automotive retail operations.
  • Provide executive oversight of dealership management systems (DMS), digital retailing platforms, data analytics, and customer-facing technologies.
  • Lead enterprise cybersecurity, data governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives.
  • Oversee the ongoing implementation, optimization, and performance of Tekion and integrated automotive technology platforms.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and General Managers to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through technology.
  • Direct IT infrastructure, cloud services, network architecture, and system resilience across all locations.
  • Govern vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements to ensure accountability and value.
  • Sponsor and oversee application development, data reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Establish IT governance frameworks, standards, policies, and performance metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MUST HAVE Senior IT leadership experience within the automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of Tekion, including implementation, integration, reporting, and optimization.
  • Executive-level understanding of enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into scalable technology solutions.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise IT teams and large-scale initiatives.
  • Strategic, decisive leader with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Office 365, cloud platforms, CRM systems, and dealership-focused business systems.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year

  • Progressive IT: 10 years (Required)
