Job Title: Database Administrator

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to support and maintain our mission-critical database systems. This role is key to ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability across multiple platforms, including SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to support both day-to-day operations and strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and perform daily administration of SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2 databases
• Design, develop, and maintain schemas, tables, procedures, and permissions
• Build database utilities and support automated reporting needs
• Provide technical support and expertise throughout the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with vendors on the implementation of new technologies
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system monitoring
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and provide both regular and emergency production support
• Create and maintain system documentation, including operational run books, training materials, and usage statistics

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of hands-on database administration experience preferred
• Current certifications in Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle required
• Must meet IT-I level certification per AR 25-2 and IAT II requirements under DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002
• Security+ certification required
