Job Title: IAM Administrator
Location: Richmond, VA (hybrid)
Employment Type: Long-term contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IAM Administrator to develop, implement, and manage our Identity and Access Management (IAM) program. This role is responsible for ensuring secure and compliant access to systems, applications, and data across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IAM technologies, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IAM policies, procedures, and governance programs.
- Manage user identity lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and account updates.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems and applications.
- Monitor user activity and system logs to identify potential security incidents.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
- Investigate access-related incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Escalate and resolve IAM-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with IT, security, HR, and other departments to ensure secure access provisioning.
- Respond to audit findings and implement appropriate remediation measures.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for IAM processes and procedures.
- Develop and deliver training materials for end-users and stakeholders.
- Stay current on evolving IAM threats, technologies, and industry trends.
- Support customer inquiries and handle escalated support tickets related to access issues.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align IAM practices with business objectives and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with IAM platforms and tools (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of access control models, authentication protocols, and identity governance.
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as HIPAA, SOX, NIST, or GDPR.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
