Job description

Entry Level Software/Database Developer

Our company is seeking a candidate with 1-2 years experience in software and database development with requirements in SQL and Python scripting. Will work on maintaining python-based applications as well as developing new features. Needs to be comfortable writing code, testing, documenting, and debugging. Applicant should possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, be comfortable working independently, and maintain a positive attitude.

Skills/Abilities:

• SQL (T-Sql, Integration packages, stored procedures)
• Python
• A solid understanding of relational databases
• Familiarity with the software development process
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Education and Experience:

• BS in Computer Science or Information systems or 1+ years of related experience

Location: S. Waterfront (Remote options available after training)
Office Hours: M-F 8AM-5PM
Compensation: DOE

Pay: $68,000.00-$82,000 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Portland, OR 97239: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• SQL: 1 year (Required)
• Python: 1 year (Required)
• .NET: 1 year (Preferred)
• C#: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person to begin - after training, remote work is available. In-office meetings may be required periodically, indefinitely, so candidates should be close enough to downtown Portland that they are comfortable with commuting to the office from time to time, even after the initial training period.
