The Role
We are seeking a UX/UI designer who has a passion for creating seamless ecommerce experiences and is an expert at leveraging a suite of apps to create these experiences.
You’ll work directly with our founder and cross-functional teammates to complete a refresh of . You will be leading the way on UX design, relying on and collaborating with the UI/design team to bring the collective vision to life.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a creative environment and enjoys seeing their work through from idea to execution.
To be considered for this role, you must:

Key Responsibilities
- UX Lead: You will be the point person for UX Design for this project. While you will work collaboratively with the visuals/UI team (Founder and Designer), your focus will be on creating a stunning and streamlined UX design for the refreshed .
- Headless Site UX Design: is moving to a headless site designed on Webflow that uses a Shopify Plus Back End. A seamless, mobile-first design is essential for the updated site and we will rely on you to guide us in creating a site that is responsive and built to last.
- UX/UI Ideation: Working with our Visuals / UI team (Founder and Graphic designer/UI) to ideate on features, app usage, site structure, etc.
- UX Design Deliverables: You will be our point person for our UX site map, Information architecture, user flows, low/fi wireframes and prototypes, etc.
- Tech Stack UX: You will be responsible for plotting out how our tech stack will be situated within the user experience and overall site architecture. Examples include: Yotpo Loyalty/Reviews, Recharge Subscriptions / Bundles, Klaviyo, Gorgias, etc.
- Creative Input: Contribute to design discussions and help push the brand forward with fresh concepts for UX/UI on the refreshed site and beyond.
- IN-Office Collaboration: Be physically present in our Portland office on a regular basis to work hands-on with the team and founder.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in UX/UI (in-house, agency, or freelance)
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experienced with UX for headless Shopify websites and how third-party apps plug into user flows.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, user journeys and how apps impact and shape those journeys for ecommerce brands.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Must be local to Portland, OR or able to reliably travel to our office for in-person work with the team
Bonus Points
- You are UX first and geek out on new ways to improve the user experience with apps, design features and seamless transitions between stages of the customer journey.
- Experience designing ecommerce flows such as subscriptions, bundles, loyalty programs, or reviews.
- Ability to create design systems or component libraries that scale across teams and across projects.
- Ability to own UX while working collaboratively on UI with the design/visuals/UI team and keeping the Hi/Fi vision in mind as you lay the groundwork.
- Interest in wellness, lifestyle, or consumer trends.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
