Engage in capacity and performance management, while supporting essential backup, recovery, and integrity management activities. You'll assist in crafting data support tools and define strategies to enhance our database solutions to meet client needs effectively. Elevate our security measures and participate in strategic sessions to advance technology efforts within the company, offering innovative solutions to boost operational efficiency.

In this role, you'll collaborate with internal teams and commercial developers, ensuring seamless performance and security across our database systems. You'll manage installations, upgrades, and configurations, supporting a robust backup and recovery regime while facilitating quick problem resolution through established support channels. You'll also engage in policy formation and maintenance to cover security, use, and scalability aspects, and ensure smooth software lifecycle transitions.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience, with a strong background in Postgres, SQL, and related technologies. A deep understanding of hardware and software ecosystems on Linux/Unix and Microsoft platforms is essential. Your strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills will help succeed in this role. Also, willingness to offer off-hours support and occasionally travel will be necessary.
