Cybersecurity Analyst – 3-Month Onsite Contract

Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to support a secure project for a confidential client. This short-term assignment is ideal for a professional who thrives in hands-on, in-person work environments and wants to make a measurable impact in a concentrated timeframe.

Due to the nature of the work and the sensitivity of the systems involved, this position requires full-time, onsite presence in the Cherry Hill, NJ area. Specific project details and client information will be disclosed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activity; respond to security incidents quickly and effectively.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk analysis to strengthen system defenses.
• Implement and maintain security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations and system hardening measures.
• Investigate and document security breaches, determine root causes, and recommend preventative measures.
• Stay current on emerging cyber threats, tools, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional cybersecurity experience (mid-to-senior level preferred).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO, RMF, etc.).
• Proficiency with security tools and network protocols (LAN/WAN, VPNs, SSH, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
• Experience with incident response and forensic investigation techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a high-security environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute daily to Cherry Hill, NJ

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, CISM, or GIAC.
• Experience with vSphere, Azure, VoIP security, or Android device security.
• Familiarity with Cisco environments and secure network architecture.

Contract Details

• Duration: 3 months (possible for future contracts - not guranteed)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours
• Pay: Competitive hourly or prorated salary based on experience
